Farm Project Description
We are a traditional mixed farm now. We have maxed out small lot broilers (2,000) and layers (399). Additionally doing around 50 hogs per year to finish with 12 pairs of cattle and 24 bred heifers. With out spare time we do about a 1/4 market garden and some tree fruit. All with the exception of cattle being sold direct to consumer.
My wife (Samantha) and I manager this with out two younger children by helping support out growth working off farm. I work off farm at MNP and manager farm consulting.
We are looking to grow to scale where we can have the farm self sufficient and contributing towards its own growth.
