Land Seeker Details

Training
Do you have a business plan?
Yes - Yes — I have a clear plan for how I intend to grow food, manage livestock, and steward the land, though it is not a commercial business in the traditional sense. My focus is small‑scale, regenerative food production for my family, with the potential to expand into small farm-gate sales in the future. My plan includes: Growing vegetables, herbs, and perennial crops using low‑impact, soil‑building methods Integrating small livestock (chickens, possibly goats) to support soil fertility and food production Using rotational grazing, composting, mulching, and water‑wise practices Building simple, movable infrastructure (garden beds, small shelters, fencing) Maintaining the land responsibly and improving soil health over time Operating within my means, with a long-term goal of eventually purchasing land My intention is to create a stable, sustainable homestead that contributes positively to the land and local food system, while being a respectful, reliable long-term tenant.
Do you have financial resources available to start your farm?
Yes - I have a small personal savings.
Do you have access to other financial resources (such as a financial partner, loan, etc.) to start your farm?'
Yes - I believe I could benefit from either or both a Grant and/or Investor

    Project

    Farm Name
    Gathergood Farms
    Farm Project Description

Gathergood Farms is a small-scale, regenerative homestead project focused on growing nutrient-dense food, improving soil health, and raising a small number of livestock in a low‑impact, land‑positive way. My goal is to establish a stable, long-term home base for my family while stewarding the land with care and intention. I plan to grow a mix of vegetables, herbs, and perennial food crops using soil‑building practices such as mulching, composting, rotational grazing, and water‑wise management. I also intend to keep a small number of animals (laying hens, meat birds, and possibly goats) to support fertility, food production, and land improvement. My approach is hands‑on, practical, and respectful of the landowner’s property. I use simple, movable infrastructure and focus on improving soil structure, biodiversity, and long-term productivity. I am not building a large commercial farm — this is a small, intentional homestead with the potential for limited farm‑gate sales in the future. I am seeking 1–2 acres (or more if available) where I can establish a garden, small greenhouse, composting area, and modest livestock housing. I am open to a variety of land access arrangements, including lease, lease‑to‑own, or long‑term agreements that support stability for both myself and the landowner. My long-term vision is to build a regenerative, family-centered farm that contributes positively to the land, the local food system, and the community.
