Pasture-Raised Egg Farm Seeking 1–3 Acres Near Calgary

Located in
I am developing a small-scale pasture-raised egg farm near Calgary focused on ethical poultry care, regenerative grazing practices, and local food production. I am looking for 1 to 3 acres of usable pasture land within a 45-to-60-minute radius of the Calgary perimeter (e.g., Rocky View, Foothills, or Wheatland County). I will not need to alter the landowner's property or build permanent structures, but I will need road access and access to a winterized 15/20-amp power hookup to run water heaters during winter cycles.

    Farm Name
    Farm Project Description

My goal is to build a sustainable local egg business supplying high-quality pasture-raised eggs directly to consumers, local markets, and community food networks. The operation will initially be intentionally capped at 250 laying hens to remain within Alberta’s provincial quota exemption framework. The farm will utilize a fully mobile, winterized skid coop system that allows hens to rotate regularly across pasture, improving soil fertility while minimizing environmental impact. The setup is designed to be low-impact and self-contained, requiring minimal permanent infrastructure or land alterations.
