Farm Project Description

Preferred Regions: Revelstoke, Kamloops, Merritt, Williams Lake, Kelowna, Prince George, Langley, or Lower Mainland Area (BC), other areas would be considered, too (depending on proximity to my day-job. About Me I am an emerging farmer looking for land to begin a small, sustainable mixed farm. I currently work a full-time day job and will be farming part-time in the evenings and on Saturdays, with the goal of gradually expanding as the farm grows. I am currently experimenting on a small scale with backyard farming in planters and some nurseries in little cans. I am new to large-scale farming, but I am deeply committed, hardworking, and eager to learn from experienced farmers, mentors, or supportive landholders. I would love to start somewhere close to where my full-time day job is. I would appreciate some mentorship on mechanized farming for large-scale crop production and establishment of market connections for the farm produce to serve a large population. Currently, I work in Revelstoke BC. Farm Vision My plan is to start with vegetables, berries, herbs, and greenhouse crops, using regenerative and soil building practices. As the farm becomes established, I hope to expand into optional livestock (poultry, goats, sheep, cows, horses, deers, etc) and eventually small scale fish farming. My long term vision is to build a resilient, community focused farm that contributes to local food security. What I’m Looking For • Good-sized land.(If there is an opportunity for large-scale expansion at the location, that would be fine, too) • Water access (well, irrigation, or shared system) • Storage or barn space (optional but appreciated) • A landholder open to supporting a new farmer who is committed to learning and improving I am flexible and open to shared land, long term leases, trial periods, or collaborative arrangements. What I Offer • Respectful, responsible land stewardship • A strong work ethic and consistent presence • Willingness to maintain, improve, and care for the land • Openness to guidance, mentorship, and community connections • A long term vision rooted in sustainability and reliability
