Farm Project Description
Honey bees require a consistent food source from early spring through late autumn. I will like to design a meadow so that different species bloom sequentially.
Looking for a grass land where I can grow wild flowers specifically for bees, like clover, dandelions, lavender, sunflower and native species and bee balm etc.one side will be covered with bee hives and the fields will provide nectar flow for bees. Depending upon the size of land unlimited possibility are there. Pesticide free environment will help me to transform a plot of land into a thriving, self-sustaining sanctuary for honey bees.Regardless of the land size, i will start by establishing permanent perennials (like Lavender and Bee Balm) first, then fill the gaps with annuals (Sunflowers, native wildflower mixes). This builds a foundation that matures in beauty and utility year after year.
