    Land Seeker Details

    Training
    • Farm management (3 years+) - Managed and operated a small farm including livestock care, pasture management, fencing, infrastructure maintenance, and day-to-day property operations.
    • General farming (3 years+) - Hands-on experience with livestock management, pasture stewardship, fencing, equipment operation, rotational grazing principles, biosecurity, hay handling, and regenerative land management practices.
    • Other experience/agricultural/business training - Founder of the Forest Lighthouse Project (regenerative land stewardship initiative); studying regenerative agriculture, soil biology, herbology, and human/equine nutrition; certified Reiki Master and equine wellness practitioner; graphic design and marketing business owner; currently developing Alberta partnerships for regenerative soil restoration field trials and future Earth Power Lodge implementation.
Do you have a business plan?
Yes - A comprehensive business plan is currently being finalized. It outlines the phased development of the Forest Lighthouse Project, including regenerative agriculture, ecological stewardship, demonstration and education programs, diversified revenue streams, and collaborative research partnerships. The plan is being refined alongside active discussions with landowners, researchers, and agricultural organizations.
Do you have financial resources available to start your farm?
No - I do not currently have committed funding. My approach is to establish the right land partnership first while continuing to develop the project through phased growth, strategic partnerships, grants, and future financing as the business plan progresses.
Do you have access to other financial resources (such as a financial partner, loan, etc.) to start your farm?'
Yes - I am interested in exploring grants, low-interest agricultural loans, strategic investors, and partnership opportunities that align with the phased development of the Forest Lighthouse Project. Funding would support land stewardship, infrastructure improvements, regenerative agriculture initiatives, and demonstration and education projects as the farm develops.

    Project

    Farm Name
    Forest Lighthouse Project
    Farm Project Description

The Forest Lighthouse Project is a long-term regenerative land stewardship initiative dedicated to improving soil health, restoring ecosystems, and demonstrating practical regenerative agriculture in Alberta. The project will integrate diversified agricultural production with ecological restoration, education, and research partnerships. A key focus is collaborating with producers and researchers to evaluate innovative biological soil restoration methods under Alberta growing conditions, while creating a demonstration site that inspires resilient, profitable, and environmentally responsible farming. Over time, the project aims to become a place where stewardship, education, innovation, and community come together to support the future of agriculture in Alberta.

    Land & Features Desired

    Total Land Size (acres)
40-160 acres (Flexible depending on the property's features, existing infrastructure, ecological value, and partnership opportunity.)
    Wooded Area (acres)
Yes - 10-30 acres preferred. Existing native tree stands are preferred for biodiversity, wildlife habitat, wind protection, and ecological restoration, but properties with opportunities for future tree planting are also of interest.
    Cultivable Area (acres)
    30–100 acres preferred (flexible)
Possibility to expand area currently available (acres)
    No
    Zoning
Preferred current state of the surface of the cultivable area

Open pasture, hay land, or previously cultivated land. Also open to land requiring ecological restoration or regenerative improvement. I'm open to land in a variety of conditions, from productive pasture to land that would benefit from regenerative management. Existing healthy soils are appreciated, but I also see value in restoring degraded landscapes.

Open to landowner residing on property
Yes - Yes. I welcome a collaborative relationship with the landowner and am happy for them to remain on the property if desired. Clear communication, mutual respect, and well-defined boundaries are important to ensure a positive arrangement for everyone.
