I have a wholesale flower farm selling to grocery stores and local markets, some florists for events. I want to expand my farm to be able to do be on bus tours for wineries as a stop for agri-tourism in Kelowna. Imagine your property, bare land, transformed into a flower farm! I visualize a community hub for tours and you picks. I am looking for land that is accessible and closer to the road to grow my buisness. In Kelowna.
I also grow wholesale veggies- so would need a small area for a wash station, cooler and storage unit. I would like to have this in a sea-can incase I have to move from lease land (Painting the sea-can would like it visually appealing on the farm!)
Most important is 0.5 acre or more that is accessible to the road and public, in Kelowna since that is where my customers are. Have access to irrigation/water. I am going to amend the soil with lots of compost and cover crops, but would like to get this farm going asap! Where I farm right now is not accessible by road (have the same driveway as owner and they have 5 dogs- one that is not friendly and bites, and 5 horses - 1 that is way too friendly and one that is blind).
Looking for somewhere to expand tourism and access, not just for tourism but also if I want to hire someone.
