Farm Project Description
I am an aspiring farmer looking to establish a small, commercially sustainable farm in the Fraser Valley/Lower Mainland. I am currently building my farming knowledge and developing a business plan, with a particular interest in berry production and the operation of an established farm.
My goal is to lease approximately 4–7 acres of productive farmland and gradually build a viable long-term agricultural business supplying fresh, locally grown produce to communities in the Lower Mainland. I am looking for a property where I can develop a good long-term relationship with the landholder and responsibly maintain and improve the agricultural land.
My first preference is an established blueberry farm because existing plants and infrastructure would allow me to enter production more efficiently. I am also open to raspberries, strawberries, other berry crops, fruit, vegetables or another suitable agricultural opportunity depending on the land, soil, infrastructure and existing operation.
