Farm Project Description

**My Little Funny Farm Ltd. is an existing BC-incorporated small-scale animal, agricultural and educational enterprise seeking a permanent or long-term land base where it can grow into a diversified, sustainable farm.** I currently care for a miniature horse, miniature fainting goat, ducks and rabbits, along with companion animals, and have previous experience keeping laying hens. I already own movable farm infrastructure including two 4'×8' sheds, an expandable pole barn, portable fencing and panels, rabbit hutches, poultry/duck infrastructure, feed storage and other equipment. On the right property, I hope to gradually expand into small-scale food production. I am particularly interested in laying and meat poultry, meat rabbits, dairy and meat goats and, where the land and infrastructure are suitable, a small number of cattle for meat. I am also interested in exploring ways to raise locally produced food for households that would like to source or raise food locally but do not have the land or infrastructure to keep livestock themselves. Expansion would be gradual and based on the property's carrying capacity, regulations, available infrastructure, market/community need and financial sustainability. My Little Funny Farm also has an established educational and community component. My animals' real stories have become published children's books and activity books centred on trust, courage, friendship, belonging, boundaries, kindness and stewardship. The animals have participated in community events, parades, markets, school interactions and visits with seniors and long-term-care residents. I see considerable potential for a future farm to connect responsible food production and animal husbandry with age-appropriate agricultural education and community engagement. I live with a long-term disability, so the farm is intentionally being designed around **sustainable scale, efficient infrastructure and appropriate assistance rather than depending upon one person performing every physical task**. Good fencing, water access, shelters and practical layout are therefore particularly valuable. I am not looking to establish every proposed enterprise immediately. My goal is to find the right land and landholder relationship first, understand what the property can responsibly support, and develop a realistic production plan from there. Ultimately, I hope to establish a **diversified, small-scale farm that combines responsible livestock production, animal stewardship, education and community connection**, while providing a secure long-term home for the animals already at the heart of My Little Funny Farm.
