Farm Name
Silver Moon
Farm Project Description

Silver Moon is a developing regenerative agriculture and homestead project focused on building a resilient, scalable, and technology-enabled food production system for the future. By combining sustainable farming practices with controlled-environment agriculture, environmental monitoring, automation, and renewable energy integration, the project aims to produce high-quality greens, herbs, and specialty crops while minimizing resource consumption and environmental impact. Our vision extends beyond food production. Silver Moon seeks to strengthen local food security, reduce dependence on imported produce, and improve access to affordable, locally grown food for surrounding communities. Through the integration of soil stewardship, resource-efficient cultivation practices, smart agricultural technologies, and future solar energy systems, the project aims to create a sustainable model for modern agriculture that can grow and adapt to meet changing community needs. By blending traditional agricultural knowledge with innovation, Silver Moon is being developed as a productive and environmentally responsible agricultural enterprise that supports ecological health, energy resilience, and stronger local food systems. The long-term goal is to demonstrate how technology, renewable energy, and regenerative agricultural practices can work together to create a scalable framework for sustainable food production while generating lasting value for both the community and the land.

Land & Features Desired

Total Land Size (acres)
any. the more space i have, the larger i can scale the project.
Wooded Area (acres)
Yes - i love the woods. but it is entirely unnecessary for the project.
Cultivable Area (acres)
any
Possibility to expand area currently available (acres)
Yes - any
Zoning
Either
Preferred current state of the surface of the cultivable area

any. i will use any cultivatable land available, but the project focuses on indoor controlled environments.

Open to landowner residing on property
Yes
Need farm buildings
Yes - i need some form of indoor building to start off in, a shop, a quancet, a garage, greenhouse, etc.
Need fenced land
No
Need farm machinery and tools
Yes - the machinery i would need would be equipment like seeding machines, soil processors, water filtration and irrigation, etc.
Need established water source and infrastructure
initial water requirements for what i call one unit, would use 30 L/day or 900L/month. Rather than relying on continuous high-volume water consumption, the project is designed to recirculate and conserve water wherever practical, the system is projected to reduce water consumption by 70-95% compared to traditional field production. as the project grows, larger water storage and irrigation systems would be needed.
Need on-site housing
Yes - need housing for at least 2 individuals. (i had thoughts of staff accommodation)
Production type
  • Vegetable - Lettuces, Leafy Greens, Asian Greens, Herbs.
