It is seen as a by-product of the lamb industry and many Manitoba sheep farmers are burning, composting or trashing their yearly wool clip, or seeing very low returns on that wool from the Canadian Cooperative Wool Growers. Currently, there is very little infrastructure in the region or the country to adequately deal with the quantity and quality of Canadian wool.
